Tanner has several years of experience representing clients in court. An important part of that representation has been understanding the stress of litigation and the court process and working with clients to minimize the emotional burden. He has represented clients in a multitude of cases including those related to family law, breach of contract, violation of federal laws and regulations, personal injury, small business transactions, intellectual property, criminal matters, adoptions and juvenile law.
Tanner has been a member of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association since 2005. He has been a member of the bar since 2004, and before admission had several years of experience as a Certified Law Student and legal assistant during his tenure in law school having worked during that time at a busy law firm while attending law school at night.
Tanner grew up in Iowa. He attended college at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and graduated with his bachelors degree in Psychology in 1997. He graduated with his J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School, in Portland, Oregon, in 2003. In the years between college and law school, Tanner traveled extensively through the United States and Europe. He chose Portland in late 1998 and now considers Oregon home.
